My Review:
You
know when you read a really good book and you get super excited and finish the
entire book in one sitting?! Well that's exactly what happened! I thought I'd read a few chapters then go to bed. You see it was only midnight. But no. The
book got the better of me and I finished this book at 3 in the morning! How sad
is that? I have no life! :(
Regardless
of this little mistake, I had a bitter-sweet feeling at the end of this book.
You see, it wasn't as amazing as I expected it to be. Don't get me wrong, I
truly loved it, but the action was lacking. The beginning continued with Anna
and the boys (minus Trev, who betrayed them! OMG!) on the run. They are still
trying to stay safe and figure out the new secrets that keep being revealed. Altered
mainly revolved around Sam and the boys who were trying to figure out real identities. In Erased, Anna was the primary focus. She was getting
flashbacks about her sister and each flashback revealed something terrifying
for her. While they were on the run, they encountered Anna's sister and there
was a quick family reunion. But that all went to hell when Anna's sister showed what side she was truly on.
Meanwhile,
Nick started to get headaches and flashbacks. And it's revealed to us that the
boys and Anna have a long family history together. Nick and Anna used to be
friends and looked out for each other. But once their memories were wiped
everything they were told was a lie. It helped that they all were getting flashbacks
and they could figure out what had happened to them. Eventually, Anna makes a
grave mistake and someone very close to her dies at her hands. But you'll have
to read to find out who it was.
Altered created an interesting world to jump
into by introducing this concept of memory alterations. Erased on the other
hand, went more in depth of the background for all the characters. It finally
revealed how the boys and Anna are connected and it was interesting to read how
they all became friends. Honestly, I can't wait to find out what happens in Reborn, but I have to will till 2015 to read it!!!!!!!!!!
