Goodreads Synopsis:

Rose loves Dimitri, Dimitri might love Tasha, and Mason would die to be with Rose...

It’s winter break at St. Vladimir’s, but Rose is feeling anything but festive. A massive Strigoi attack has put the school on high alert, and now the Academy’s crawling with Guardians—including Rose’s hard-hitting mother, Janine Hathaway. And if hand-to-hand combat with her mom wasn’t bad enough, Rose’s tutor Dimitri has his eye on someone else, her friend Mason’s got a huge crush on her, and Rose keeps getting stuck in Lissa’s head while she’s making out with her boyfriend, Christian! The Strigoi are closing in, and the Academy’s not taking any risks... This year, St. Vlad’s annual holiday ski trip is mandatory.

But the glittering winter landscape and the posh Idaho resort only create the illusion of safety. When three friends run away in an offensive move against the deadly Strigoi, Rose must join forces with Christian to rescue them. But heroism rarely comes without a price...

My Review:

Frostbite picks up right where VA left off. Rose and Lissa are back at St. Vladimir's. Lissa and Christian are now finally together. Rose is still hopelessly love with her smoking hot tutor/mentor, Dimitri. So when a Strigoi attack delays everyone's plans to travel home for the holidays, they are instead sent to a ski resort in Idaho, where families and friends can come together and be safe.

However, there seems to be a lot of drama going on in the slops that Rose wasn't expecting. Mason has a crush on Rose, Rose's mother has unexpectedly popped back into her life, and Dimitri seems to be interested in someone else. *How dare you Dimitri?!!* Plus the Strigoi are still causing problems for everyone. Which causes Mason and a few other stupid boys to go on the hunt to kill this Strigoi. So with Christians help, Rose must find those boys and stop them before it's too late.

I devoured Frostbite in one sitting. I accidently came across this series while I was searching the library for something new to read. And I can't say enough how much I have come to love this series. Even though it's still the second book, it is very intriguing, filled with lots of humor, romance, action, and suspense. This is a great series about Vampires, probably better than Twilight, since it came out before Twilight even existed.
