Goodreads Synopsis:

In this vivid fifth volume of The Seer series, Sabine Rose is reunited with her ill grandmother Nona and her friends at Sheridan Valley. But the excitement of curing Nona-and discovering love with someone new-doesn't outweigh the burden of her father's dark secret: a daughter no one but Sabine knows about. Riddled with curiosity, Sabine uses astral projection to spy on her half sister Jade. And then one night-while out of body-she witnesses a gruesome murder! The victim appears to be Jade's mother, but the next day reveals she is very much alive. Was it all a terrible nightmare? A puzzling psychic message, feelings for two different guys, building resentment towards her father and Jade-it's almost too much to bear. And when the killer from her nightmare turns out to be real, Sabine finds she must open her heart to the person she trusts the least.

My Review:

So far I have loved this series. But now I'm starting to get really irritated. The one thing I'm annoyed at is Opal, Sabines psychic guide. Opal's cryptic messages are starting to annoy me to the max. Just tell Sabine what she needs to know. It's like what's the point of a psychic guide who doesn't even answer all the questions. I honestly didn't see the point of Opal and if she wasn't in the story it wouldn't have mattered. She is pointless, useless, and annoying.

Anyways...Living with her parents is difficult for Sabine. But when she finds out that her father has been keeping a secret about a daughter who's older than Sabine, things start to get interesting. Sabine enlists her fathers help in getting her back to her grandmothers house and she won't spill the beans about the other daughter. Jade, her half older sister is exactly like Sabine. They have the same build, height and features, except Jade has red hair. When Sabine gets back to her Nona's house she finds that things are different. Her relationship with Josh is rocky. He has been hiding things from her and she is suspicious of him. She and Dominic also find the remaining charms, realize they can't translate the last portion of the remedy book, and discover they have feels towards each other! Just when Sabine's life is starting to settle down, Jade decides to visit Sabine at the farm. And that's when the troubles start to begin.

Although this is a good book, I found myself to be a little bored while reading this. They mystery has gone on for a while and I just want it to end. The reason why I gave this book three stars wasn't because it wasn't a good book, but because I was just annoyed. I know that's not a good enough reason, but it is what it is. Plus the way this book ended left me unsatisfied.
