Goodreads Synopsis:
Is it possible to be haunted
by someone who isn't even dead?
Suze is used to
trouble, but this time she's in deep: Ghostly Jesse has her heart, but Paul
Slater, a real flesh-and-blood guy, is warm for her form. And mediator Paul
knows how to send Jesse to the Great Beyond. For good.
Paul claims he
won't do anything to Jesse as long as Suze will go out with him. Fearing she'll
lose Jesse forever, Suze agrees. But even if Suze can get Jesse to admit his
true feelings for her, what kind of future can she have with a guy who's
already dead?
My Review:
I swear,
this series just gets better and better. Suze's life in Carmel California
is going the way she hoped it would go. She has helped many ghosts with their
problems and helped them move on. She even helped Jesse's fiancé who wasn't
able to move on until her body was found and put to rest. Because of the
craziness with Maria, Jesse and Suze's relationship was put on a hold. In the
beginning of this book, Suze complained a lot about Jesse and why he didn't like
her anymore. Although the case wasn't that Jesse didn't like Suze anymore, but
the fact that he was a ghost and he would be moving on to the after life and
that would devastate Suze. Because of Jesse's distance, Suze got herself
interested in Paul, another mediator who was pure evil. He wanted to get rid of
Jesse forever, kill Suze and be the only mediator alive.
In
this book, Paul has reemerged into Suze's life and is back to create more
drama. Paul claims he knows what they are, why they can communicate with
ghosts, and what hidden powers they have. But Suze doesn't know why he's so
intent on teaching her about their powers when he tried to kill her last time
they hung out. Suze must figure out Paul's intentions before it's too late and
he does something to hurt the people she loves.
Meanwhile, Jesse has been keeping a low radar around Suze. He doesn't seem interested in talking to her, sitting with her, and enjoying her company. But when he learns that Paul is back and has enrolled at Suze's school, these two hot heads are about to go at it with one another in a battle for, much to her surprise, Suze's heart. Overall, another good book in this series!
